This Privacy Policy explains how Drive107 (“Drive107”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you use our website, web application, and related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information
When you create an account, our authentication provider collects your email address and, optionally, your name. We use this to identify you, secure your account, and communicate with you.
Vehicle & maintenance data you provide
This is the content you choose to store, which may include:
- Vehicle details — make, model, year, nickname, and identifiers such as VIN, HIN, serial number, license plate, and registration where you enter them.
- Maintenance events — service dates, odometer/engine-hour readings, costs, parts, vendors, and notes.
- Reminders, vendors, and contacts you add.
- Photos you upload to galleries or attach to service records.
- Documents you upload, such as registration, insurance, titles, warranties, and receipts.
Usage & technical data
Like most online services, we automatically receive certain technical information when you use the Service — for example IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. We also log application errors (including diagnostic details) to keep the Service reliable.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your records.
- Authenticate you and protect against fraud and abuse.
- Send service-related communications, including maintenance reminders and account or invitation emails.
- Provide optional features you request, such as VIN decoding, recall and safety lookups, and vendor address search.
- Diagnose problems, improve features, and ensure reliability and security.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers & third parties
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. They process information only to perform services for us:
- Authentication — manages sign-in and stores your account credentials and email.
- Cloud hosting & storage — hosts the application and stores your data, photos, and documents.
- Email delivery — sends transactional emails such as reminders and invitations.
When you use certain optional features, your request is sent to the relevant external service to return results:
- Vehicle data — VIN decoding, recall, and safety/fuel-economy lookups query public government datasets (such as NHTSA and the U.S. EPA) using the identifiers you provide.
- Vendor lookup — address autocomplete sends your search text to a third-party maps provider to suggest businesses and addresses.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will continue to protect your information and notify you of any change in control of your data).
4. Public vehicle pages & sharing
Your vehicles are private by default. You may choose to make a vehicle public, which creates a shareable public page. Even then, only the items you explicitly opt in are shown — for example albums you mark public and a maintenance summary; full event details appear only for events you mark public, and identifiers like VIN, plate, and costs remain private unless you choose to reveal them.
Anything you make public can be viewed by anyone with the link, and may be cached or indexed by search engines and other services. Making content private again removes it from the page, but cached copies held by third parties may persist for a time outside our control. Only publish information you are comfortable sharing publicly.
5. Shared access & invitations
Drive107 lets an account owner invite other people to view or help manage their vehicles. If you invite someone, you provide us their email address so we can send the invitation and grant access. People you invite can see the vehicle data within that account according to the role you assign (for example, view-only or management access). Only invite people you trust with that information.
6. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar local storage that are necessary to operate the Service — primarily to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your selected vehicle and theme. We do not use advertising cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can edit or delete individual records (vehicles, events, photos, documents) at any time. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data — including stored photos and documents — except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app, or contact us at privacy@drive107.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. You may opt out of non-essential emails at any time; we may still send essential service messages such as security or account notices.
10. International data transfers
Our providers operate globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact us
If you have questions or requests about this policy or your information, contact us at privacy@drive107.com.
